Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of London Education Centre's educational services and establish the mutual responsibilities between LEC and our students and families.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using London Education Centre KSA's ("LEC," "we," "us," or "our") educational services, website, or applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.

These Terms apply to all users of our services, including students, parents, guardians, and visitors to our website or learning centers.

2. Description of Services

LEC provides educational services including:

  • Personalized one-on-one tutoring services
  • Small group educational sessions
  • Online learning platforms and resources
  • Exam preparation programs
  • Academic assessment and progress tracking
  • Educational consultation and guidance
  • International curriculum support (Cambridge, Edexcel, American, IB)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time with appropriate notice to affected users.

3. User Responsibilities and Conduct

3.1 Student Responsibilities

  • Attend scheduled tutoring sessions punctually
  • Come prepared with necessary materials and homework
  • Treat tutors and staff with respect and courtesy
  • Follow center rules and safety guidelines
  • Maintain academic honesty and integrity
  • Notify LEC of any scheduling conflicts in advance

3.2 Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate student information and academic history
  • Ensure timely payment of fees and charges
  • Communicate student needs and learning objectives
  • Support student attendance and participation
  • Respect tutor time and expertise
  • Provide feedback to help improve services

3.3 Prohibited Conduct

  • Harassment or disrespectful behavior toward staff or other students
  • Disruption of learning environments
  • Unauthorized recording of sessions without consent
  • Sharing login credentials or accessing others' accounts
  • Misuse of learning materials or resources
  • Any illegal activities on LEC premises or platforms

4. Payment Terms and Fees

4.1 Tuition and Fees

  • Tuition rates are determined based on curriculum, subject, and tutoring format
  • Fees must be paid according to the agreed schedule (monthly, termly, etc.)
  • Late payment charges may apply after the grace period
  • Registration fees are non-refundable
  • Fee adjustments require 30 days written notice

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

  • Bank transfer
  • Credit/debit cards
  • Cash payments at centers
  • Online payment platforms

4.3 Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available within 7 days of service commencement
  • Pro-rated refunds may be provided for extended absences due to medical reasons
  • No refunds for missed sessions due to student absence
  • Material and registration fees are non-refundable
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing

5. Scheduling and Cancellation Policy

5.1 Session Scheduling

  • Sessions are scheduled based on tutor availability and student preferences
  • Regular weekly schedules are established for ongoing tutoring
  • Schedule changes require mutual agreement and advance notice
  • Peak hours may have limited availability

5.2 Cancellation Policy

  • 24-hour notice: Full make-up session provided
  • Less than 24 hours: Subject to availability for make-up
  • No-show: Session fee still applies
  • Emergency situations: Considered case-by-case
  • LEC cancellations: Full make-up or credit provided

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 LEC Materials

All educational materials, curricula, assessments, and teaching methodologies developed by LEC remain our intellectual property. Students may use these materials for personal learning purposes only.

6.2 Third-Party Materials

We respect the intellectual property rights of curriculum providers (Cambridge, Edexcel, etc.) and use materials in accordance with applicable licensing agreements.

6.3 Student Work

Students retain ownership of their original work and assignments. LEC may use anonymized student work samples for educational and promotional purposes with appropriate consent.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

Student academic information and personal data are treated with strict confidentiality. Our complete privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy.

  • Academic progress shared only with authorized family members
  • Tutors bound by confidentiality agreements
  • Secure storage and transmission of student data
  • Limited access to information on need-to-know basis

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide excellent educational services, LEC's liability is limited as follows:

  • We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or exam results
  • Our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for services
  • We are not responsible for student decisions regarding course selections or career paths
  • Personal property brought to centers is at owner's risk
  • We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Termination of Services

9.1 Termination by Student/Parent

  • 30 days written notice required for termination
  • Outstanding fees must be settled
  • Final academic reports provided upon request
  • Return of any LEC materials required

9.2 Termination by LEC

LEC may terminate services for:

  • Non-payment of fees after grace period
  • Violation of terms or center policies
  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior
  • Safety concerns
  • Mutual agreement that services are not suitable

10. Dispute Resolution

We are committed to resolving disputes amicably and efficiently:

  1. Direct Communication: Issues should first be discussed with the relevant tutor or academic coordinator
  2. Formal Complaint: Written complaints reviewed by management within 7 business days
  3. Mediation: Third-party mediation if direct resolution unsuccessful
  4. Arbitration: Binding arbitration under Saudi Arabian law if required

All disputes are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and courts in Riyadh have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Changes will be communicated through:

  • Website notifications
  • Email to registered users
  • Notice during tutoring sessions
  • Updated terms posted at learning centers

Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of revised terms. Material changes will include a 30-day notice period.

By enrolling in LEC services or using our platforms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the student (if you are a parent or guardian).
